Lisa Borden

EVP, Director of Human Nature of Arnold Worldwide

“I’m Lisa Borden and I am the Director of Human Nature at Arnold Worldwide. Sounds like a cool job, doesn’t it?”

Lisa Borden has spent over 15 years accruing valuable experience in both brand planning and brand strategy. At Arnold, Lisa partners with Neela Pal to lead Arnold’s Business and Brand Strategy offering. Her focus is the aptly named Department of Human Nature. Working with consumers, trend watchers and experts in cognitive science, cultural anthropology and behavioral economics, Lisa leads the Human Nature team as they seek to unravel the mystery of why people do the things they do.

Prior to Arnold, Lisa was the Vice President of Account Planning at Hill Holliday where she helped Bank of America re-launch acquired wealth management brands US Trust and Merrill Lynch. Additionally, she helped the brand launch corporate reputation and corporate social responsibility initiatives.  Prior to Hill Holliday, Lisa worked at McCann Erickson and TBWA\Chiat\Day, as well as global brand consulting firms FutureBrand and Fitch. She has also worked as an independent brand consultant.

Lisa has collaborated with a wide variety of clients across diverse categories and geographies. Her experience includes technology brands such as Microsoft, Motorola and Samsung; consumer brands such as Coca-Cola, L’Oréal and Wonderbra; and healthcare brands such as CVS/pharmacy and Novartis.

Lisa graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in French Literature and Culture and has partly completed a Masters Degree at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

Outside of work she is working on a variety of art projects and occasionally plays the guitar, though admittedly, not very well.
